Breaking News in Nigeria this Morning, Sunday 7th June 2020

1. A Covid-19 patient who escaped from Imo state has been arrested in Ondo state. The members of Ondo state special task force on Covid-19 have arrested a Coronavirus patient that escaped from Imo state to come and stay at Akure, Ondo state. The patient was apprehended at the popular Ojo Oba Market in Akure on Saturday. The woman was caught where she was selling second hand clothes to people in the market. 2. The murder of a pregnant woman in Ibadan looks like a ritual killing - Police. The Oyo State Police Command has said that the murder of Azeezat Somuyiwa, 29, in the Akinyele Moniya Local Government Area of Oyo State, is similar to ritual killing. The Police said investigations were ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding Somuyiwa’s death and that of 18-year-old Barakat Bello who was raped and killed in the same LGA.
